So i think it's finally the time to make the website go (officially) live! If you came here from Twitter, hello! I'm Sanji.
With all the drama that's been happening over there i was starting to feel sick about how bad big social media sites have been getting.
After bringing myself to code our Zine site (which im super excited for btw, i will talk more about it in a bit!) i found out how free i felt after i realized i could literally design, code and make the site look however we wanted. Why was that lost over the evolution of the internet? I remember old social media sites like MySpace had their default layout for everyone but still allowed you to customize like 90% of the rest of your page however you wanted. I really miss those days.
Anyways, i thought that if Twitter REALLY fucks up this time you can always catch me in this place which i think im going to keep as like, sanjirops' official homepage!
So, about the zine? We have been planning it since the beginning of this year since a bunch of other BT fans seemed really interested in participating.
Huge thanks to Ikari and Heis for helping out with the coding and design of the site
I'm going to spoil a little, i hope the other mods don't get too mad with me lmaooo:
As for the zine team, Heis is helping with the graphic design and overall organization, Dan is doing recruitment for overseas fans, and Lore is helping with the Social Media management and with translations. We have been working really hard on it, and we are happy to see a bunch of people are excited for it as well.
Personally speaking, i'm especially excited because as soon as we chose the zine theme a couple of ideas came into my head. In fact, i decided that if i have enough time i'll probably submit two pieces!
A little sneak peek of one of my pieces. What could it be? The only thing we know is that it's surrealism. Strange.
There is no limit for the amount of submissions per participant this time, so if you feel like doing 2 or even 3 pieces, go ahead! We will be happy to feature as many works as possible on the zine.
So yeah, in general that's what's been happening lately on my life! I will keep updating this site along with blogs, fanarts, etc. Make sure to check in regularily to see if there's anything new. In case that any of my main social media accounts get suspended, or the entire sites die (which is a real fear i have these days), remember you can always keep contact with me in this neocities page.
See you around!
